I love america. I hate war. I fear war. I fear this war more than others. When I stood on the deck of a US naval warship facing a Soviet heavy cruiser I did not fear my own death, nor did I fear war. This war has a feeling lurking behind it. I fear it. But, I love my country. I will stand.

My last post was just a lark, I've been rather engaged of late and felt that I should drop a note just to keep alive. This is the aftermath. Yesterday, I installed Mandrake Linux 9.0. Mandrake filed for bankrupcy, the install went fine then while opening a shell window, it hung. Nothing that I did had any effect. After shuting down hard, the system lost its bios settings and the harddrives were gone. Nothing would reset them with any stability. I had to completely fdisk and reformat both drives losing the windows install, the linux install and all of my data settings, files, everything. Oh, just as the data got wiped my isp, comcast.net went down hard. Hell of a weekend.
