Yahoo! News - Three N.J. Teens Charged in Alleged Massacre Plot

When I read this article an odd bell went off somewhere in the distant reaches of my head, far behind a light fog. I couldn't help thinking that this was very significant but I couldn't, for the life of me figure out why. Perhaps it's the strange and intense nature of the image created of these three young people devoting themselves to no particular cause, and being willing to die for it. Maybe its the idea that they used the general image of a popular movie that portray's a struggle against reality itself. These are three devoted, ambitious young people. They studied the martial arts and had the wherewithal to get a collection of weapons. The worked together and all of this for no perticualr reason.
