Telepathy is a requirement of intelligence. As intelligence evolves to higher orders of complexity interconnectivity is required to facilitate survival, growth and evolution. One thing must become two in order to proceed. Two things posess the qualtiy of oneness in addition to the quality of twoness. Two things must therefor evolve into both 3 things, and 4 things. First, the two things will attempt to connect to one another, the mutual attempted "assimilation" will yeild stalmate. Stalemate will result in the formation of a third thing which is comprised of the mutually complimentary elements of the first two which have unioned in standard set theory process and the non-complimentary elements which remain individual. Hence a third, unique individual is formed. The first order two things then proceed to fission into two things each becoming 4. The third thing fissions to become two with a total of 6 things. Lines of interconnectivity exist from any one thing to any other. With out this, one would have remained one, repeated many times.

The human brain could be viewed as a collective of individual organisims that are highly interconnected forming a higher, geshtalt, entity. The next logical order of interconnectivity is the interconnection between seperate whole entities. Us. This is language/communications. This is not an option. telepathy is the highest expression of this process and therefor, must exist. Without which "we" would not. Telepathy is therefor either: A: a latent and unconscious process that is operational but not directly experienced by us. (this would be supported in a rather interesting way by the conjectures of Torr Nortrannders in the "User Illusion" in which he outlines the research that shows that our experience of reality is edited by the mind prior to our experiences. and that the mind erases the time lag of 1/3 of a second that is involved. Our minds may be communicating with one another during this time in a massively paralell process to generate the reality that we experience as consensual.) B: a capacity that is not yet evolved but is the next step in the natural process of evolution which will lead to a situationn simular to the case cited in "A:".

This is my first real post since the disaster of the weekend of the 17th. I am trying to return to the original goal and concept of this site as stated in the description. I am a whole-systems thinker. I see the whole and the patterns of the whole. Either group-mind is existant or it will be soon. I will begin to publish my working notes on the book EVO in a seperate sub-site here. I believe that humanity and its technology are moving rapidly in the direction of the generation of a self-aware machine. A virus is a living thing, amoeba's as well, yet we do not credit them with self-awareness. While individually this may be true, collectivelly they may form part of a larger, composite entity that is. Evolution may be the processed of that entity constantly modifing itself, spawning new versions of tiself as it seeks higher and higher orders of being. Either we ARE that entity and have not yet achieved realization, or we are the latest expression of that entity's operation and are just a subset of the larger organisim.
