Well, it would seem that here at the start of the 5 dead days we are falling farther and farther away from the shining star of unity. Not so. I believe that a cursory analysis of human history over the last 100 years will show a clear and present pattern of change and transformation that is directional and goal oriented. We are moving, through time, like lovers coming slowly together. We are witness to the crisis and uncertainty and conflict that is inherent in the process of "comming together". This may be the first time in all of our history that we are beginning to be as one, world wide, and we are frightened and confused. The 21st century will be a staggering and radical departure from all of the patterns of the past. Its up to us to manage this change for the good of all. If we only sit and watch the show someone else will direct and your (yes, I me you personally) grandchildren will live in a world that you did not intend, and that they will regret. The alternative is that we, collectively, take control of the source and essence of the force of change and shape it, control it, so that we become co-creators of the future and give to our grandchildren something far more valuable than a college fund or a new car. We must give them the world that could be and destroy forever the world that was. My work is moving back in the direction of the pyramid theory again. I intend to formally initiate myself starting on the 1st. (for those who don't recognize the term "initiate", don't worry about it, you will). A part of that process will be to educate myself in the field of macroeconomics using the resources available on the web (My God! but its an ocean out there!) and to begin to build an actuall socio-economic pyramid, or at least a general model of one. I will also, during this process, re-enlighten myself and re-train myself. The years have taken a toll and I must be as ready as possible for what is to come. I intend to share the experience here.
