Over the last 6 weeks or so I have been talking much about the structure of society. This external superstructure that binds us together (for good or ill...) and allows us to survive. While you may have the wherewithal to survive, on your own, under any circumstances we do not. The race would rapidly diminish and die out if it weren't for the support systems, resources and companionship of others, many others. Due to this fact we have learned to band together for mutual gain and benefit. The problem we have is the it has never worked. We don't get along very well.
I really don't feel the need to elaborate on the last point. Any person who differs is either trying to "get my goat" or is just completely unaware of the history itself. In the twentieth century alone an est. 250 million, or more, people died as a result of war, forced starvations, and violence of one form or another. that's with out estimating the number of people who where just the victims of crime, just the historical events. How much of our energy is wasted on the struggle to maintain ourselves in a world of competition and demand? and its not getting better, its getting worst. In the 1950's a Dr. Jose Delgado developed a device that he called the "stimociever", this was a small electronic device that allowed him control the movements of a bull on the Johnny Carson show. He published a book titled 'Toward a Psycho-Civilized Society' in which he proposed that the stimociever be implanted in every human being upon birth and that they be used to control civilization. Wow, the Stepford Wives take over, or rather their controllers. Whether or not this is, or every will be, is not as important as the fact that the idea even exists. We all know that we aren't making it as a group. So now what? Well, we have one of three choices; first, we follow Dr. Delgado (yea, right) second, we do nothing and just "let come what may" (most likely) or, third, we get to the root of the problem and solve it. The latter is the only real future that the human race has. I believe that our true destiny is to be found on the journey to the solution to whatever the problem may be.
It is my intention to outline what I believe to be a small part of the knowledge that may be necessary in order to begin that journey. Omniety.
