I have always believed in fundamental human unity. I believe that come the day that we are as one socially, politically, economicly and spiritually all of the loss, suffering and dead dreams will wash away like flood waters leaving firm ground behind. I believe in the concept of group-mind. I believe that it is the next step in our evolutionary development. I do not believe in esp, supernaturalism or magick, I believe that these things represented primitive mans attemp to express and explain what instinct told him was so and the effort to codify this knowledge and pass it on to thier decendents. Astrology becomes astronomy, Alchemy bocomes chemistry, magick bocomes physics. The sciences of today are the children of the magick of the past. The mystery hasn't changed only the language of the answer. WE seek to understand the universe around us. No one individual can ever hope to grasp it all. Only through the generations of people that have devoted thier lives to this quest can any individual hope to gain any understanding. A very good friend of mine often says "It is said that consciousness is given, not achieved". He's right. I think that I'm just wondering who is doing the giving?

This fundamental unity is the foundation of the group-mind. Communication is the exchange, the "neuronal firing" if you will, of the larger mind that is the human race. Language is the key to communication. Without language we are mute and deaf. While we may still be able to make ourselves known on basic levels little else is possible. Language is (I believe) a fundamential part of intelligence and information. Over twenty years ago I struck with the idea that the fundamental unit of the structure of the universe was information. Objects are representations of the underling "code" that forms that object expressed as a standing wave function. Thought is intelligence, information "in motion". Intelligence entails language. The properties of differenciation, relationship, structure and transformation are fundamental to the nature of information. These properties also form the basis of language. I believe that what is being refered to as "telepathy" is a dormant and undeveloped faculty. It is the next level of language. But like our earliest ancestors, we can only grunt and flail. We have, as yet, no "language". No alphabet, syntax or grammer. The group-mind is the equivilant of homo-erectus. Perceptive, reactive and capabile of thought and planning but without the ability to express its thoughs. Thus they remain invisable.

Inspite of this, we still posess that fundamental unity. It can only grow. But it could grow wrong. If we open our individual consciousness to the possibility of the larger strata of mind that may exist and begin to try to assist in its growth and natural development we can only aid in the growth of the human race into the next level of existance. the one that may be needed in order to expand into the universe, the next environment. from the stars to the earth, from the earth to the sea, from the sea to the to land, from land to space completing the circle.
