This is one of the first formal works I have come across regarding the idea of group mind. The author, Manfred Davidmann, throughly examines the possibility of the group mind as evidenced in social interaction and existing psychological studies. On the whole I agree with his assessments regarding the sociological evaluation of the possibility of a group mind component in behaviour, abnormal psychological states and experiences, and creativity. I intend to do a deeper analysis of the work presented here but the one difference that I have is the reliance on telepathy. While I personally believe that this is a factor, I feel strongly that the theory must stand on its own as a realized, provable pattern of social and political analysis, the mechinisms come later
