Sex doesn't sell. Power sells. Priviledge sells. "Royality" sells. What they are, have been and will continue to sell is the concept of priviledge. Wealth and power are components of that experience. 50's car ad's, modern quasi-sex, hyper-athletic, perfect human ad's (founded in the cosmetic/plastic surgury/hollywood forge), and even religion are selling the idea that you can be priviledged to NOT have to experience the frustration, suffering and pendantic stupidity of life. You will not have to get your feet wet, you will not have to cook your own food (unless its "officially" trendy to do so), you wil not suffer the annoyance of old age, you will be Go.........
Hum, is this starting to sound familar?
